Creating a dyslexia friendly Arabic typeface

Dyslexia is a global issue. However, to date, there is still limited research into dyslexia for those who natively speak Arabic.

Working with the guidance of a Jordanian special needs expert, I developed a new dyslexic friendly typeface called “Tabseet” which translates to mean simplify. The idea is that the dots (or إِعْجَام) change colour to help students more easily identify the differences between the letters.
